For the past 18 years Tequila Kola has been designing and creating products
responsibly in an effort to preserve the integrity of our planet.
Not just since it’s become fashionable but from the beginning.
We have always used old (recycled) wood or government approved plantation
wood in the manufacture of our unique timeless pieces of furniture. These days
we have relationships with manufacturers who are part of the FSC (Forest
Stewardship Council) and the trees for trees program (www.trees4trees.org).
Both these organisations are dedicated, as we are, to the responsible
management of the worlds forests.
Wood is a truly renewable resource and is naturally better for our environment.
Growing trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store the
carbon so efficiently that about half the dry weight of a tree is carbon. This
carbon remains “locked up” for the whole of the life of the wood even when we
use it for building furniture. It is released into the atmosphere again only when
the wood decays or is burnt.
Wood is warm, inviting, natural and neutral.
Wood fits in. Wood is never overpowering.
Wood is eco friendly.
Wood is always in style.
