Decorating with Passion for 30 Years
Home grown TK has been part of the Hong Kong home furnishings scene since 1991.
As many of you may remember, we opened our funky little lifestyle shop in the
Princes Building with an eclectic mix of homeware, furniture and quirky accessories from around the world.
We sourced and designed products way before the internet and trade shows existed.
It was a labour of love and still is.
I traveled for miles to remote villages on a beaten-up moped to find handcrafted,
character-filled home treasures.
I sourced intricate handblown glass from Mexico, robust ceramics from Peru, colourful textiles from India, rustic Ikats from Timor, artifacts from Thailand and Dutch antique furniture from Indonesia and brought them to you.
My husband Geoff and I unloaded containers, refinished furniture and administered our growing enterprise from our home and a small Chai Wan warehouse. We worked into the night (every night) to make it happen with a lot of sweat and determination. We were excited to introduce TK to HK.
Thanks to a great response from you, our enthusiastic HK customers, TK quickly outgrew our Princes building shop. It wasn’t long before we opened the doors to our first large showroom in the heart of Admiralty. It was the year of the Golden Pig & baby son, Max.
However, our quantum leap came with the opening of our Horizon Plaza Showroom in 1998, the year of the Tiger and the year our daughter was born.
With plenty of space we were able to create a vibrant, indulgent sanctuary brimming with inspiration and style.
I reflect on our years in HK with fondness & look to the future with optimism.
Our look and products have never stopped changing but the core ingredient throughout this evolution has stayed the same. Our passion and desire to help you create a unique, joyful home remains as strong as ever.
Tequila Kola has been part of the fabric of Hong Kong for 30 years.
With this catalogue we invite you to continue the journey with us.
